My background and strength is in programming. This allows me to create sites with a high level of functionality. And thanks to JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and faster JavaScript rendering engines, browsers are now becoming viable development platforms capable of replacing traditional desktop applications. This allows you to provide for your users a more rich and compelling user experience. So whether you need a simple 5 page website or an online store with a backend content management system, I can provide you with a solution to reach your goals.

Web Design

Despite what they say about not judging a book by its cover, first impressions do matter. If users are turned off by your site design, they can easily go elsewhere. Web design is also not only about aesthetics but also about how information is presented, organized and structured. Clear navigation, good use of white space, clean and consistent layouts, legible typography with a well defined hierarchy, considerate load times… these all play a role in creating an effective site design.

Site Maintenance & Support

It is important to update your site on a regular basis in order to keep your content fresh and relevant. You can do this by updating the site yourself via a content management system (CMS) or if you are feeling brave, you can directly edit the code. A third option is to hire someone to maintain the site for you. For busy professionals, this might be the most cost-effective solution. Let me deal with the details, complexity and minutia of updating your web site and you can continue doing what you do best—running your business.
